welcome

Tell me what's wrong with society
When everywhere I look I see
Young girls dying to be on TV
Won't stop 'til they've reached their dreams

Diet pills, surgery
Photoshopped pictures in magazines
Telling them how they should be
It doesn't make sense to me

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something is wrong

I guess things are not how they used to be
There's no more normal families
Parents act like enemies
Making kids feel like it's World War III

No one cares, no one's there
I guess we're all just too damn busy
And money's our first priority
It doesn't make sense to me

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something is wrong

Is everybody going crazy?
Is everybody going crazy?

Tell me what's wrong with society
When everywhere I look I see
Rich guys driving big SUV's
While kids are starving in the streets
No one cares
No one likes to share
I guess life's unfair

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something
something is wrong

Is everybody going crazy?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something is wrong

Today was the first ever flag day for our volleyballers. We had to meet up at 9.15 at somerset to collect our bag and get ourselves ready to help collect flags for Singapore Cancer Society. My group together with group 2 was posted to Raffles City. Guess what, we walked all the way there, taking a cool 30 mins !!! It was a rather short walk, but we chatted about Dota with the WTF mode. About how we can spam like siao after lvl 6.

Collection in the beginning was tough. As it was in the morning, the starting few donations were so hard to come by. After a while, people start to come by and my bag starts to get filled. Just when my "business" was very well, several other people from the poly came to my area and compete with me. WTF... i was damn pissed, i almost asked them to f off.

Well the list of people and their characteristics and also my opinion.
Ang Moh's - Most won't give, if they give, they give alot. Approach tactfully, but don't pinned too high a hope.
Tai Tai's - Some will give if you approach them, others approach you with coins.
People with Kids - Almost all give, partial reason, their kids want the sticker. Try to attract the kids attention with your sticker.
Grandmothers - They are the ones which will give you the money !!! Must approach
Couples - Most ladies will stop to give while to guy will say no. So must approach from the female side.

I met some nice people and some nasty people on the way. At the end of the day, its this kind of people which made/spoil your day. Some kind people, go up to you to donate or talk to you and donating. The nasty ones will say something scarstic like not donating to SCS. Some even walked on as though you never asked them. Don't want can like use your hand to say, no need to walked on like as though you got no eyes to see or ears to hear.

Some incidents i would like to share. First was when i approach a European. At first he refused to donate, after like 2 or 3 steps, he turn around and told me he worked for the Singapore Cancer Society !!! He's a scientist there. Cool huh. There were also once when i a couple donated and also passed me a leaflet about the program they are organising. LOL

Ok after that, as i could not make it in time to sembawang for my class cip at 3pm, i went back to school with Gretchen, Kevin, Hong Chin, Alex, Andrew, Corina, Wei Long. Play till about 5 plus. We figured out that Gretchen can kick a soccer ball better than Wei Long !!! I still like the combo kill which comprises of dig set and spike.

Kevin, Hong Chin and Gretchen are always the spikers who will try their best to stop the other from recieving the ball. As for me, i'm always the setter who comes up with funny moves ( thanks to my randomness ) to have some fun games. I even set a ball backwards even though it is going to the opposite team !!! ( Now you all are suppose to say WOW !!! ) That position was what i needed the most, as i could all the random things i want WITHOUT being chided.

If you never try, then you'll never know. How long do I have to climb, Up on the side of this mountain of mine?
